Meet Dr. Cheong
The most rewarding part of my job is not the individual procedures that I complete on patients, but the smiles, life-long relationships, and happy experiences that I get to share with the wonderful people who come to our office. Watching children come in as toddlers and grow-up, the smiles that I help create, and the ability to alleviate pain and treat dental emergencies, fill my life with happiness.
For Dr. Andrew Cheong, having the skills and knowledge to provide his patients, patients that he cares about as individuals, with leading-edge, painless dental services, knowing that in doing so he is bringing about positive changes in their lives, is rewarding. He believes that the patient-doctor connection is essential to a good outcome for any treatment, and strives, from the first appointment, to establish open and comfortable communication between the patient and himself. Dr. Cheong wants each patient to know that they are free to come to him with concerns or questions, knowing that he will listen without judging and offer the information that the patient needs.
Dr. Cheong is known for his gentle touch when it comes to providing dental care. He takes his time with each treatment, proceeding at a pace that keeps his patients’ comfort in mind at all times. He is never rushed and sees to it that each patient knows they set the timeline; he works for and serves them, not the other way around.

Knowing that providing his patients with the most up-too-date treatment options, processes, and technologies is essential, Dr. Cheong actively pursues continuing education offerings, through attendance at and participation in oral health-related seminars, lectures, meetings, and hands on demonstrations.

Personal Life and Community Involvement
Dr. Cheong and his wife Dr. Miyamoto call Dinuba, CA home. When he’s not caring for his patients, you will find him playing soccer and tennis, big game fishing, and cheering for the Fresno State Bulldogs.
He believes in giving back to the community, by donating his time and dental expertise through programs such as CareNow LA, which provides free dental work to underserved individuals in Los Angeles. In 2010, Dr. Cheong went on a dental mission trip to Fiji with the University of the Pacific, providing preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care to villagers. He has also traveled to and offered free dental care to residents of Costa Rica.
